Meeting was heralded to order at the La Crosse Public Library, Main Branch. Kudrun forgot to appoint a note-taker, so she is doing penance by writing this up.

Chatelaine
  • Talking with Silfren mere about a demo at St Mary’s University in Winona* and with school officials (though in GET and Holmen the school folks are working on money issues right now, so they’re not terribly responsive). LaCrosse colleges don’t call back.
  • There was some discussion about what we could present in a demo.
  • Chatelaine reported that people have asked when there’d be another Pie Snit.
Exchequer
  • There’s 1825.07 in available funds, and $1258.50 in dedicated funds.
  • We still owe Autumn Rose non-member surcharge, garbage, and a little from youth funds.
  • Exchequer’s computer is officially dead, so she’s ordered checks that can be written by hand.

  • Managed to file her report despite the new Northshield website.
Minister of Youth
  • Brighid is compiling resources that can be used on the Northshield website. Apparently only six groups have a youth officer.
  • There was some discussion of an event featuring activities primarily for youth, but that would invite participation by parents as well.
  • Brigid is looking into potential sites, but no action has been taken yet.
Thrown Weapons Marshal
  • Marshaled at Siege the Day.
  • Encouraged us to encourage Ahlwin to get the paperwork together for the Armory. We can use it for embroidery practice if we don’t have any fighters.

New Business

Future Event: “Need Meat?”
  • There are some issues with site that need to be ironed out, but Vitaliano is working on it.
Other New Business
  • Kudrun has reserved the LaCrosse Library Trustees Room for November 18th and December 16th.
  • Though these have traditionally been potlucks in homes, the people at the meeting were unable to offer their homes, so we’ll meet without eating. (Perhaps we can do our cooking for A & S Nights.)
  • Kudrun forgot to mention it, but since there’s been a call for another research day, and since the Northshield calendar is pretty empty, she’s willing to call one for November 18, the date of the now-defunct “Fogmoon” event. 9AM-5PM, Saturday at LaCrosse Public Library.

Some wag suggested we have a war with Silfren Mere over Winona. “We win! You get it.” Let it be noted that the unidentified speaker is from Winona and the comment was facetious.
