January 17, 2010 – Skokke Towers

Amata opened the meeting at 2:10 – a remarkable violation of “SCA Time”.

OFFICER REPORTS

  • A&S – P’snort. (A&S Minister really needs to get more sleep.) See list on p. 1.
  • Exchequer – Domesday report was signed at the meeting. Maewyn will send it off. We had $2650 at the end of the year. All accounts have been replenished. Maewyn will see what it takes to take the $50 uncashed check off the books.
  • Herald – Amata’s having trouble with the Northshield website, so she’s still not official.
  • Youth Minister – Papers aren’t sent in yet.
  • Marshalate – Nothing’s going on. (It’s winter!)
  • Web Minister – Started a page for Pie Snit III. Still wants persona stories and pics of Cliffies in garb.
  • Chirurgeon – Vettoria will be taking classes when they’re offered. Since she was wielding live steel at the meeting she was elected Embroidery Marshal.
  • Robert – Still hasn’t taken an office, other than Hospitaller.
  • Chatelaine –
    • Next month’s meeting will include Kudrun’s class on the history of the alphabet. People from college departments of history and English will be invited. Bob will see what it takes to have announcements posted or read. Place – Public Library. We need to find free publicity. Second Supper? Classes will be offered every other month.
    • We need to get all the loaner garb together before Pie Snit.
  • Chronicler – noted that the meeting crashed due to a surplus of technology.
  • Ambassador to Coille Stoirmeil – Failend was offered the post because of her dual citizenship.

Pie Snit III

  • Site has been rented by Pierre.
  • Website is www.mayday.rokeclif.org.
  • Activities will include pie contests, Trivium Pursuit, Jousting, Bardic circle (themes: May, Pie, Labor Day, snit) Fight practice if we have marshals. Pie the fool fundraiser?
  • Site token = Lily of the Valley.
  • Lunch? Soup? Another group?
  • Fencers – pie as rigid parry weapon?

Autumn Rose – Sweet Sixteenth Century

  • Autumn Rose is going on the calendar.
  • $12 feast (half price for kids under 12),
  • $8 day trip.
  • $10 for the weekend.
  • Bard of Rokeclif rules are expanded – extra points for using “sixteen”.
