Meeting was called to order by Deputy Emergency Deputy Vettoria at 2:20.

Robert and Kudrun reported on the demo at Sparta’s Butterfest.

The Trempealeau County Fair will be held July 22-25th. In previous years we have met at the fair in garb, made contact with the fair manager, Lucas, and the Lions. We can’t give them checks now for an event in September without an accounting nightmare, due to Wisconsin’s desire to audit its non-profit organizations. (As I understand it, every shire in the whole SCA would have to submit to audit by Wisconsin at SCA’s expense. When this happened in Illinois, the Illinois SCA incorporated separately from the rest of the SCA. It entailed having separate books: those from before the split and those from after.) Kingdom officers are working on a solution. We questioned the usefulness of four people showing up in garb on the last day of the fair, and decided it wasn’t worth doing. The consensus was to meet on the regular day (July 18 – at the storage shed) and not leaflet the fair. [This was adjusted after the meeting.]

Gavin resigned as Chirurgeon and as Minister of Arts & Sciences. Vettoria is still thinking about getting the required
first-aid training to become a chirurgeon.

Vitaliano nominated Robert the Unlucky as Minister of Arts & Sciences. Cybele seconded it. Rather than send Robert out of the room, we simply asked him to put his hands over his ears and say “la-la-la-la” while we talked about him. The vote carried, with Allyssa abstaining from abstaining.

Officers signed the Change of Officer forms for Robert and for Vitaliano, who finally received confirmation that his
youth minister background check was ok.

Cybele has contacted people to serve lunch at Autumn Rose: Olson’s Little Red Wagon. Vitaliano is planning roast
lamb for the groaning board.

Next meeting will be at the Galesville Subway, and then we’ll tackle the storage shed – tossing the junk, repairing the
non-junk, and organizing the good stuff into good strong uniform totes.

We will also have a sign moot in early August (August 1) in Kudrun’s garage. [This was changed.]
