Meeting was called to order, more or less.

We did the A&S List orally.

Maewyn reported on the problem and the actions taken because of Wisconsin’s tightening down on non-profits. (See the Northwatch for details.) In short, we had to close our bank account and open a new one, Maewyn will have double reporting to do, and we are now a part of “SCA-Wisconsin” as opposed to just SCA. If this hadn’t been done by July 31, Wisconsin would have called for an audit of the whole SCA, at a cost to SCA of millions of dollars.(Thank you, Maewyn!)

Youth Minister change-of-officer forms were signed. Vitaliano is getting ready for the big youth event in CAM.

Web Minister – Vettoria is the new deputy Web Minister.

Vettoria (wearing the potential chirurgeon’s hat) is planning on an August 21 first aid class.

Marshallate has nothin’

Queen Mum Bridei has asked if we would be the sponsoring group for an equestrian practice at the fairgrounds. Kudrun will check with fair management.

Chatelaine – This is the officer’s report that exploded into all kinds of exciting stuff. We agreed to change the meeting date to third Mondays at 6PM. (Motion by Vitaliano, second by Bronislava) The plan is to have social time from 6PM, and morph into the meeting at 6:30.

Knowing who’s going to what events would be a great idea. We can share at meetings, and perhaps on our facebook site. We might even put together a shire presence at events.

A monthly Research Day will take place at the library on Mondays. A&S Moots may also be scheduled. (Vitaliano is in charge of the first one. He needs garb for PMP.)

Demos need to replace Autumn Rose. There are three main types for us to pursue: public relations, educational, and recruitment. We need to identify and hone skills that we can demo, hence the A&S moots. We WILL have at least three demos by next summer.

Seneschal – Vitaliano volunteered to serve as deputy seneschal. (Motion by Bronislava, second by Vettoria). When he left the room for the vote, he was elected deputy seneschal, and also heavy marshal (if he ever authorizes), Minister of fixing old cars, Secretary of State, and Mayor of …somewhere. Also “other duties as assigned”.

We talked about hosting Spring Coronation in 2012. By that time we’ll probably be a barony, in which case we’ll know it’s the end of time. Site suggestions, anyone?
