The SCA recognizes the contributions of its individual members. The Award of the Hearthstead is unusual in that it is presented to groups. Valgarth and Ariella have received one. The “Rokeclif Moms” were also recognized for their service. And the shire as a whole was presented with the Award of the Hearthstead on 27 April 2002 (A.S. XXXVII) by Their Highnesses, Niklos and Aramantha. It was presented at the Three Decades of Fish event in the Barony of Jaravellir. This award recognized outstanding hospitality by the group as a whole.
